You can cut corners a bit when you lift, although always be safe. It is okay to cheat by not fully engaging your body in the name of pumping out some bonus reps. But do not make that an excuse to cheat on all of your reps! Control how quickly you complete each weight lifting cycle. Don’t do an unreasonable number of reps in a short period of time. You should never compromise your form.
